Reverend Vincent Allan Harris loves the Lord, believes in putting God first, people second and things last. He joined Mount Calvary United Methodist Church in 1977. He served and worked in many areas; Chairman of the Pastor Parish Relations Committee, Trustee, Finance, Worship Leader, developed the Children/Youth Ministry. He answered the call to ministry September 1997. He preached his initial sermon February 8, 1998 at Mount Calvary. Since then his objective has been to do the will of God to the best of his ability by utilizing his spiritual gifts of disciple making, discernment and counseling.
After relocating to North Carolina he was appointed to Plaza United Methodist Church, where he served as Youth Minister and later Associate Pastor for seven years. He continued his spiritual walk and was involved in many areas of ministry and leadership. He reorganized the Youth Ministry, served as Worship Leader, developed Sunday School and Bible programs, was a member of the Hambree Design Team. At the 2007 Western North Carolina Conference he was appointed Associate Pastor of Sanctuary Charlotte.
Rev. Harris was born in Gwinnett County, Lawrenceville, Georgia. He graduated from Central Gwinnett High School. He continued his education at Southern College of Technology in Marietta, Georgia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Divinity from Hood Theological Seminary, Salisbury, North Carolina. He completed a year of Leadership Development training at WNCC Leadership Development Institute. He has one daughter Zaria Alexis.
